Securing Critical Infrastructure Funding for Bryan County
The Beatty Team proudly led the effort to secure transformative infrastructure funding to support the Hyundai Metaplant and future economic growth in Bryan County, Georgia.
Key Milestones:
$60 Million GEFA Conservation Loan Approved
The Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) approved a $60 million Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) loan to help finance a new wastewater treatment facility at the Hyundai megasite. With a 30-year term and a reduced interest rate, this loan recognizes the conservation impact of the project.
Additional $37 Million GEFA Loan Secured
GEFA also approved an additional $37 million loan—well above typical project limits—to fund vital water and sewer infrastructure. This exception was granted due to the project's strategic importance for economic development.
$60 Million Federal Water Loan Administered by GEFA
Bryan County secured a separate $60 million loan from a federal water fund, further enhancing its capacity to support Hyundai’s long-term operations.
$246 Million Pandemic Relief Grant Awarded
A substantial grant from federal pandemic relief funds was approved to supplement infrastructure development. This funding will cover more than half of the total estimated $343.8 million cost for water and sewer improvements in North Bryan County.
The Beatty Team’s leadership helped make these historic investments a reality, laying the groundwork for a vibrant, job-creating future in Bryan County and beyond.
Building Stronger Colleges, Communities, and Connections
The Beatty Team partners closely with the University System of Georgia, with a special focus on Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and South Georgia State College. Through strategic collaboration, we help these institutions develop and implement innovative approaches to increase student enrollment, strengthen ties with local businesses, and deepen community engagement.
By aligning academic goals with regional needs, we’ve helped foster lasting loyalty between the colleges and the communities they serve. This strong sense of connection has cultivated a network of third-party advocates—alumni, civic leaders, employers, and local residents—who champion the value and impact of these institutions across South Georgia.
The Beatty Team was honored to design and lead a transformational initiative that brought a bold community vision to life—a special needs-friendly sports complex where families with children who have disabilities, along with injured veterans from across the region, can come together to play ball, heal, and connect. What began as a dream is now a reality, thanks to strategic planning, community coordination, and a shared commitment to inclusion.
In addition to this meaningful project, The Beatty Team also spearheaded efforts to assess the county’s access to high-speed broadband, recognizing that digital infrastructure is essential for future growth. TBT coordinated the development of a comprehensive broadband study, laying the groundwork for expanding the network. This expansion is critical for attracting new businesses, supporting education, and enhancing quality of life for current and future residents.
The Beatty Team has partnered with over 40 communities across Georgia to confront one of today’s most urgent challenges: the attainable housing crisis. We believe that every community should strive to ensure that the people who serve it—police officers, firefighters, teachers, nurses, manufacturing workers, and many others—can afford to live where they work.
Through thoughtful dialogue and on-the-ground collaboration, we’ve provided common-sense, actionable solutions that empower local leaders to address housing gaps. From rethinking building standards and leveraging tax incentives to strategically utilizing public land, we help communities think creatively and act boldly to expand their attainable housing inventory.
At The Beatty Team, we’re committed to helping communities grow in ways that are inclusive, resilient, and supportive of the hardworking citizens who keep them running.
